Heidelberg Materials North America (Heidelberg Materials), a leading supplier of building materials, today announced it is growing its South Carolina footprint with a new aggregates distribution terminal in Colleton County.

CEO Barbara Melvin delivered her state-of-the-port address at the Columbus Street Terminal on Oct. 16.

In support of Operation Lifesaver, Inc. (OLI), Palmetto Railways is participating in See Tracks? Think Train® Week (formerly Rail Safety Week in the U.S.).

The rail yard has been a long time coming, with initial work started in 2008 by Palmetto Railways, a short-line railroad that's part of the S.C. Department of Commerce.

After seven years of planning, the Camp Hall Rail project is now in phase two of its five-phase railway connection.
